Product Feature: Facial Oils

“You want me to put oil on my face? On my already oily prone skin? This sounds like a horrible suggestion.” This was me when I joined Beautycounter and I was told that facial oils were amazing skincare products for any skin type, even my oily skin. I would not go anywhere near an oil or even consider putting an oil on my oily/acne prone skin. It sounded counterproductive. WRONG. Turns out that it was one of best things that I could put on my skin to help its appearance. Why? Turns out out that I probably wasn’t receiving enough moisture/hydration so my skin was overproducing. Now I have two facial oils that I use daily; morning and night. My skin has felt so amazing and is continues to improve.

Beautycounter has completely transformed the way that I think about what my skin needs. I’m using things I never thought I would use and adding steps to my regimen that I would have rolled my eyes at because its, “one step too many.” I am investing in my skins appearance and it shows in such an amazing way. In this post, I wanted to feature three of our best selling facial oils from Beautycounter. I am currently using two of them and I know that you will find one that suits your skincare needs as well!

No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil

This is our best selling and award winning brightening facial oil. The results prove why it is award winning and one of our best selling products. It has a mild citrus scented oil that awakens your skin. That is why I use it in the morning! I put it on after I wash my face with the Countercontrol clear pore cleanser and before I moisturize with Countercontrol matte gel cream. It absorbs quickly so you don’t have to wait forever to put on your moisturizer and then your makeup. You can use it with or without moisturizer. (Fun tip: the matte gel cream doubles as my makeup primer. I love the matte effect it has and the way my makeup looks when I use it.)

After I started using the brightening facial oil, I noticed that the redness in my cheeks was fading and my skin was much brighter and a lot less dull. Thanks to this oil, there are days that I just apply the oil and not wear foundation because my skin no longer looks too red. I will always have this facial oil in my regimen.

No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil

The No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil is lightweight and smells of jasmine that is used to help replenish moisture. It has seven natural oils, including omega-rich argan oil, that also helps nourish and firm skin. If you are someone that has dry skin, loss of elasticity, and fine lines, this is the facial oil for you. It can be used daily. You can wear it alone or applied before moisturizer.

I have not used this facial oil personally, but I do have clients that have purchased this and have fallen in love. They swear that within a few days they could already tell a difference in their skin. I love knowing that clients fall in love with their purchases!

No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil

The No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil is the other facial oil that I use daily. This oil contains meadow seed oil for balancing, while the chamomile calms the skin. It can be used by all skin types. If you’re in need of something to calm the skin, balance it out, and add some clarity, this facial oil is the one for you.

I always recommend the No. 1 and No. 3 to my clients because I firmly believe in them. As someone with acne prone skin, this really helps calm the skin and decrease those pesky breakouts.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, I never thought it would be okay for me to use a facial oil because of my already oily skin. I can firmly say that after weeks of using the No. 1 and No. 3 daily in my skincare routine, I have not been producing excess oil. The only change in my skin has been for the better. My skin is brighter, clearer, and less red. Which means that the needs of my skin are being met with these two facial oils!
