It has been almost a year since I have a read a really good book. Not that I have been reading bad ones! I am an avid reader. I usually always have my kindle or a book in my hand – but mom life had me very busy so reading was put on the back burner. Most of you know how that goes. ANYWAYS, I am here to tell you about a great book series that I think y’all will love just as much as I do. I read all three within one week…that’s how good it is.
The series is made up of three books If I Run, If I’m Found, and If I Live by Terri Blackstock. You have to read all three to find out how this amazing story ends. It’s not like some book series’ where each book is a different story for the same characters. I found myself emotionally attached to these characters as well, which always makes for a great book series.

This series follows Casey Cox as she runs for her life after she is framed for the murder of her best friend. She does everything she can to evade the detectives that are looking for her. These detectives are not of the honorable sort, nor the type that can be trusted. These detectives have been getting away with disturbing acts for years and are feared by many. Brought in is war veteran, Dylan Roberts, who was a detective in the military, to help the detectives find Casey Cox and bring her in. Dylan suffers from PTSD and that has people in his life doubting him, but bringing Casey Cox in can help him get a job with the police department that he really wants. In his search for Casey, he begins to see that everything is not as it seems and that she just might be innocent.
Throughout each book, I was constantly on edge wondering what was going to happen next. I started book 2 (If I’m Found) one afternoon and stayed up until 1a.m. to finish it. The way that Casey evades the police and makes it on her own for months is very interesting to read. I found myself running right along with her and I felt like I could see her making her next moves. So many times I found myself telling her “don’t do that!” because I feared she was making a huge mistake. I was in constant awe of her and her bravery and wanting justice for her. It amazed me that, even though she was going through absolute hell, she was determined to help others even though it would jeopardize her safety. I don’t see how anyone could possibly be disappointed by this series. It will be one that I read over and over.
I do think that most readers of crime/thriller novels will enjoy this series. Like I said, I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to loaning it out to friends (my mom currently has them now) and I look forward to reading it again in the future.
Overall Series Rating: 4.5/5
